Growing up in an inland city where there was no sea, I have always had an inexplicable longing for the sea. When I came to Edinburgh, the sea made me feel that the city was extraordinarily gentle and I enjoyed it all. On warm spring days and sunny weekends I always go for a walk on the beach.

The constant waves pushed all sorts of rocks, shells and plants onto the beach, which I thought was a gift from the sea, and I always came away with a full load. I've created some interesting things using cut and collage. They are like gifts from the sea, blending in with nature.
